Found these in my raised garden bed, only in one bed - the one that has bush beans, lettuce mix, raddishes. I always read that any mushroom is fine in the garden bed and that I can just break it down into the soil. What is this one called? It looks like brown/tan porcupine

Looks like a puff ball to Me. No stem? If cut open looks like a real fine sponge? When ripe, and squeezed the spores will puff and blow into the air. This would be a Puffball. Type in Google "puffball mushroom" and hit images

There is barely a stem; I did not cut open it. Someone on soil forum suggested that I let them mature and puff and spread the spores -- to allow them to spread and multiply in my soil
