www.treequest.com These pots come in 4 sizes..Toni

I guess I must ask the proper way of using these containers, since the pre-potted one I have came from AcornSprings. It was only 1/2 full. Next season would I repot it and fill it to near top? My pot is currently 8"x8"x18" with less than 9" of medium and rootball.

Mistake by Acorn Springs. The container should be full of medium. My guess is that much of the medium has been washed away over time, by repeated irrigations. That certainly limited the available soil for your tree's root growth. - Millet

Thanks, I'll hit store for some of those pine bark chips, and replant next year in CHC and Coir.

Mage, was there potting medium on the bottom of the box? I've received trees from Acorn, and all but one pot was filled with soil..the last was missing about 1/4 container of soil..which was in the box.
I buy quite a few plants via mail..Many times, even though boxes are marked, 'this side up', UPS, Fed Ex, etc tosses the box upsidedown. So, we can't always blame the nurseries..more often than not, it's the mail..Toni

A small amount only, since the plant was fully wrapped in paper. The small amount was less than a cup. It was only a small problem, and I corrected it. I would have asked sooner, but I just learned the purpose of a treepot.
