Australian Finger Lime Trees Available

Last month I inquired of Four Winds Growers when they would have Australian finger limes back in stock. I got a prompt reply to check back in September. Well, just for the heck of it I checked this morning, and they had them on the order page. I quickly ordered one (along with a few other trees). They only have them as two-three year olds, not the cheaper yearlings, but for something so hard to get I think it is worth it. Just received my UPS ship notification, so the trees should be here on Thursday.

So, if you have been looking/waiting for an Australian finger lime tree, they are available, or at least they were this morning. The trees aren't described on their website and, as far as I can tell, only show up on the order form.

I went to four winds just to see the pic, but couldn't find it..where is it located? Thanks, Toni

Drat.
So, if I really want it I'll have to resort to having it sent to Louisiana and go pick it up . . meanwhile hoping the Citrus Police don't come nab me. Ah well.
I'm too law abiding (oh hell, lazy) to do that so I'll just have to hope my seeds work out. Unless someone is willing to send me cuttings for a swap of stuff . . .
I do so want to see the exploding citrus in action.

It's too bad the ban in Florida is still on..I can't wait until the government declares all plants free of Canker..lol..Toni

I got mine from Logees.com last summer. So far I haven't killed it, although it lost all its leaves. :P They still have them available I think.

I understand some protocols may be in the works to allow nurseries to ship from Florida in the future. They would have to comply with any standards that are set as far as protecting their growing stock from disease and pests. But I am sure once those standards are set that there would be some that would meet the levels. Having said that; the cost of the trees I am sure would be greater since the cost of growing trees to meet the standards would increase. Also as I am sure most are aware Florida is not the only state that grows and sells citrus trees.
