Non toxic aphid control

I found this pesticde recipe on a fuchsia nursery site and decided to give it a try because the alcohol and water mix just wasn't doing the trick. I changed the ratios a bit and added way more Simple Green (about 4x the amount) then the recipe called for. This seems to have worked. It's only been a couple days since I sprayed but with the alcohol/water mix they are back almost immediately.

Mix 1/4 Cup Isopropyl alcohol, 3 tablespoons of SIMPLE GREEN, and 4 cups water. This solution must be sprayed on the insect, usually found sucking the life out of your plants, on the underneath side of the leaves. Aphids hang out anywhere they want, especially on the tips of the new growth
