I think it is Botrychium lunaria, commonly referred to as Moonwort.
Check the link to see if that matches the plant you found.

Hmmm that looks quite different. Of course the ones i saw could have been young plants but i didn't see any bigger than the one in my pic,which i'd say is about 2 inches across. Is moonwort an actual fern or one of the fern allies?

I have been informed it is Wall Rue, Asplenium ruta-muraria.
Apparently Moonwort wouldnt be found growing in a wall but rather in grasses and on turf making it hard to spot. Plus it would probably have died down for the year by now.
