Looks like a baby Boston fern, Nephrolepis exaltata.

That looks like it...nothing exotic. I am surprised it is doing so well in my house with my infrequent watering schedule.

That would be my guess also. They love growing with orchids lol. In my area they are a noxious weed They sprout in every situation . Another is polypodiums which are even more obnoxious as they form a fuzzy root which is hard to remove . In your situation probably won't hurt a thing ?? gar y

They got separated today when the orchid finally stopped blooming and was put in orchid winter quarters upstairs in a north window. This fern is growing like a weed. It made me think of growing some other ferns in unused hanging pots so I bought three on eBay:

Adiantum Peruvianum, 'the silver dollar maidenhair fern
Hemionitis Arifolia, the heart fern
Davallia Fejeensis 'Major', the deerfoot fern

I have a hunch they will not grow like weeds. They are in the 4 inch pots they arrived in set into a bed of wet sphagnum moss. I have watered them once by soaking then removing all excess water from the bottom of the metal pots with a turkey baster.

The ferns above all got thrown out. They were OK but just didn't grow well in my dry climate. However, the free Boston fern lives up to its hardy reputation and does fine in the corner of our small dining room.
