I love sphagnum moss! It is an outdoor plant not an indoor plant unless you are venting its growing area and have sufficient light for it.
It occurs from Canada southward on the North American continent.
Depending on where you are you could probably grow it in direct sunlight. Whatever you do do NOT tolerate any other plants growing in it.
Be sure it is sitting with its lover half of the plant in distilled water. Never use tap water on it.
