I went to Tenerife, Canary Islands on a week long field trip as part of my Ecology degree and saw some really spectacular fern species in the cloud forest on the Anaga peninsula. This area is so named because there is almost permanently a layer of cloud which blankets the area with mist, it was very damp. The sheer diversity of my spore clad friends really was astounding. I thought it would be cool to show them to people interested in ferns so hopefully these links will work!
