Is this where I start the v of the tree and prune below? What is that root in the soil - do I cut or put under soil?

Last pic :). Do I take these premature lemons off so that it gets bigger lemons in future?

Since they are going to suffer some transplant shock, I would not leave more than one fruit in any location; and leave the fruit that is on the strongest part of the limb.

As for pruning, I wouldn't do it now; and in general a Meyer is more like a bush than a tree. Only prune out limbs that are crossing in the center and any that are growing in a downward direction.

Nice looking trees. In ground they are much easier to care for and will produce lots more fruit. If you are going to put one in a pot a tree that size will need a larger pot.

Thank you so much! That information is definitely helpful. Now I am thinking I might plant both in the ground. I read on a lot of websites that people successfully grow meyer lemon trees in a pot and form them as a tree. I'd rather pick the best option, though.
