I read a recipe yesterday that used a dozen-and-a-half eggs and I can't remember what else, but the writer said it lasted the whole season after rain. I should have written out the recipe then, but I thought I could get back to it today. Well, I just can't find it. Anyone know that particular recipe? It would surely be wonderful to have a repellent that worked so long.

Search this site by using the search box at the top of any page. All the receipts are basically the same they only differ in quantities. When used they are effective for 4-6 weeks and must be reapplied then or after any washing off regardless of the time of year.

Yes, petzold is correct it does work but you must me very diligent about reapplying it at the proper intervals...and I suggest you assume 4 weeks rather than five.
