This was interesting here, that you brought up this subject... I just bought a new Rose bush last week that is of a bright orange color, and I was wondering the same thing myself. The Rose bush was already "in bloom" when I bought it, so I hope my transplant does well for me, so that I can get some nice flowerheads from it to "press & dry!"

I guess I will have to play around with this particular flower to see how well it does "press & dry," & also how well it will retain it's color.

The particular Rose bush I bought is: an "Everblooming Floribunda Rose," called: "Charisma." It has fiery scarlet red & golden yellow blooms, in which are a very brilliant "orange" to the eye!! I always wanted a Rose Bush like this, so I will see how it does with the drying & pressing process~

I have a rose bush that was an experimental bush and it has no name... but it blooms bright orange and redens when the bloom is nearly finished, but unlike my other roses it doesn't drop its petals when it dies... it remains orange and dried on the bush, that is until the hot az sun bleaches them... I'm also found success in drying my roses in kitty litter and having them keep their color... I don't know if that is now the old school way of doing it but I still do it :) but I've had great success with it...
