I've searched the messages and some people mention installing a spigot near the bottom of the rainbarrel. The hardware store wanted about $20 for a spigot that would go on a rainbarrel. Lee Valley wants about $12-13. I'm just wondering what it would take to install a regular brass (or cheaper) spigot. The brass one is about $7 but doesn't have a way to attach on the inside of the barrel.

I'm looking around and not really finding a cheap and simple solution. Anyone have useful details?

I've never done plumbing of any kind, but I did score some 30 gal barrels and cut the tops off with the skilsaw. It's a start, but I want to be able to drain the barrels rather than scoop and carry.
