Can I let tall fescue go dormant during the hot summer months. With the water restrictions coming in to play, I am going to have to cutback. Right now we are watering twice a day. 6am and 6 pm for 7 min each, everyday. I know its alot but my grass was turning brown at every other day. I also have a problem w Nutsedge. It is all over my yard. We had sod (tall fescue) layed about a year ago and it was fine for awhile. I am thinking over watering caused the weed to grow.
