I have a Burning bush that all the leaves are falling off. I believe heat stress. The limbs are still green. I have been giving it a deep watering. How long should I keep that up?

Here are some great drought tolerant plants that are commonly grown on our island. Grevillea, Eucalyptus, Fremontia, Lavatera, Lavender, Rosemary, Cistus, Spartium, Arbutus unedo, Ceanothus, Callistemon, Yuccas, Oleander , Coisya ,Romneya and Pampass grass. All of these species work very well if your region can be quite droughty as ours is. They are worth looking into the next time you are out at the local garden center. Cheers, Joe

You can also try using an anti-transpirant like Cloud Cover so the leaves don't dry our so fast.

If the plant is exposed to heavy winds, perhaps you could try erecting some sort of temporary barrier to help protect it.

Is an anti-transpirant the same as dormant oil?

No flowergirl it is not the same as dormant oil. It coats the leaves so they don't lose as much water. Wilt Proof is one.
