In the olden days you could have a septic tank and city
water, too and not pay for sewer.

I have a well, a septic tank and city water. Best of all
worlds.

water/sewer charges from the city here are about equal here
I have shallow wells for irrigation and seriously considering a pool sand filter feeding the three thrones to reduce that bill & the potable water conservation too.
