We've had a good dosing of rain within the past few days, the ground is actually saturated and water is standing in spots. Mud everywhere, yea. And I'm reminding myself not to complain about wet shoes and the mud getting tracked in the house.

Hopefully this weather pattern will continue.

Yes Nancy, isn't it WONDERFUL! On a funny note, one of my cats is a youngster, and he hasn't seen much rain in his short life, so he is quite put out: he actually grumbles when he has to go outside to relieve himself, and runs back in, still complaining, as soon as he can.

Anyway, we got 1.5 inches today, here in Amherst, and it was a nice, steady soaking rain. As you say, let's hope it continues!

Well! With measurements being recorded, since we got a rain gauge, we now have in our area, since 9/27/02........12-3/4" of rain! Wahooo A ways to go to lift drought, and it looks hopeful with the current storm patterns.

Wow Paula! And yes, we have gotten alot (some every couple days now..). It's a shame that so many trees and shrubs just couldn't hold out long enough... :-(
