Postage is likely to be your major expense for you or the sender. You bio does not indicate what state you are from. Are there any wooded or shady areas near your home where you can source your own supply?

You're not going to find it much cheaper than that. Like chervil2 said, postage is going to be expensive. It will probably cost at least $5 to ship a bag. You can try your local Craigslist in the farm and garden section and look for people who have nursery and see if they would be willing to sell you a handful instead of a whole bag.

I bought my small bag for about $5 at Home Depot. I did not use it all, so if you just need a little bit, I can send you handful in a bubble envelope for about 4 stamps if you like. (I have the envelope).
