I don't know what Hardy Palm seeds your looking for but I can make some suggestions...Depending on where you live.I am assuming your in southern Ontario..If you are south of the Carolinian line in south western Ontario and I mean south of it like the north shore of lake Erie all the way to Windsor there is one choice... Sable Minor "McCurtain County Oklahoma" That is the only one that has a hope in heck growing in southern Ontario in a well sheltered southern exposure protected micro-climate with some protection. Sarnia Chatham are also good areas.
In Windsor you may get away with a Trachycarpus fortunei "Bulgaria".

Did you get any bamboo? We have had a variety for several years that gets about 5 ft high, & then dies off in the winter but comes back up following spring. Not sure of the name. We are about 5 km north of Lake Erie. It spreads so we could send you some shoots which are now emerging.
It is a bit late to trade for seeds, but we like daylilies & hostas, etc.

Would you have a pic of this bamboo? I have been looking for one as well .

Thought I had one at one point . Turns out what was given to me was Japanese Knotweed.. which grows about 5 or 6 feet tall spreads and dies back in winter too. Spreads by seeds and underground runners. It is very invasive and I have been trying to eradicate it for a number of years now ..... it is an introduced species and grows wild now along roadsides here in S.W. Ontario . Nasty plant as it kills native plants and takes the space . In its defense , it does have a lovely lacy flower .

Anyway , if you have a true bamboo, I would be very interested in trying to work a trade with you

The most well behaved bamboo would be from the fargesia genus so focus on them and you will not regret purchasing/ planting them .
For a grass that looks similar to bamboo , maybe try miscanthus giganteus or either arundo donax types .
