HAVE: Redwood tree seeds & question

I collected these seeds that had fallen below a few redwood trees at:

Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh - Dawyck Botanic Garden

http://www.rbge.org.uk/rbge/web/hort/d_feat/index.jsp#trails

I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about trying to start a redwood and I am probably out of my mind trying it in Ottawa but call me a sucker for punishment - I have to try this.

I have probably enough seeds to send 10 trades out.

Any tree specialists out there?

So far many of my indoor seedlings that require heat and light have sprouted in the basement garden table, stacked on top of each other before I have trucked them upstairs to a window ... so hey ... why not give this a try????

I might still have a few seeds of a large leafed plant that I collected on the ground there but I forgot to write the name down and I think I have a few seeds of something I wrote down as 'cherry' but they are not cherry seeds.

Duh!

Anyone want to give this a shot? Feeling adventurous for some fun? Granted if they do sprout you need to plant them in a FIELD somewhere and NOT A BACKYARD. Also, they probably will not mature in my lifetime but I love a challenge.

Anyone???

Email me if interested in a trade.

Until next time I get through my stash.....
