Must Watch TV shows

So...just wondering what all your tastes are when it comes to the 'tube'...

My TV, just can't miss 'em, addictions are:

Prison Break...Who doesn't like a 'bad boy'?? (Or two... ;-)

House - cranky b*st*rd

NCIS

CSI / CSI Miami / CSI NY - Save ME!!!! LOL!

Law & Order, L&O Criminal Intent, L&O SVU

(Used to watch lots of gardening/home deco &/or reno shows, but we (I) canceled the satellite)

Think that's it...I tried to watch daytime tv (ie: soaps) but just found it too painful!!

Oh my, who has time to watch TV shows in the S/S months. LOL

When I do have time, I like watching that 70's Show, everything about that show, characters, wallpaper, clothes remind me of my teenage years, but apparently they are calling it quits and their last show will be airing soon. Oh yes, I love Entertainment Tonight, gotta keep up with the gossip! I usually watch this on my break at work.

LOL!!! I LOVE That 70's Show...I'm a little too *young* (if I keep telling myself that...) to relate, though DH does ... ;-) But everyone who who knows my mom agrees that she is "just like Kitty" except for the drinking part...all the other mannerisms though...lol...right down to the (retired) RN...

I loved That 70's Show the first few seasons, then I kinda lost track and if I try to watch it now I don't know what's going on. I was watching American Idol but I don't like anyone who's left so I'm not watching it anymore. I was a Chris fan.

I guess most shows are wrapping up for the summer now... I wasn't really watching a lot of TV this winter anyways - I do like Desperate Housewives and South Park. No time to watch the tube when the sun's up!

House - Yeah, canky little bugger, but definately would WANT him diagnosing me if something were wrong!

NCIS - Abby is our absolute favourite, but GOTTA find out what's up with Gibbs tonight!!!

CSI / CSI-NY / CSI-Miami Yeah, "help me" too!! LOL

    Amazing Race

I'm a big nut for the Food Network and HGTV too. I do like all the decorating shows, especially those "sell this house" type ones for some reason. Amazing what good furniture placement, the right paint colour, and some good accessories can do!

*** who's thinking it's a good thing that all the season finale's are on and the shows are wrapping up!!!! ***

This is sad, but here goes: Survivor, Amazing Race, and American Idol. I cannot miss any of them. People know not to call me when they are on. I am a reality show junkie-although I don't like the ones like the Bachelor, etc.

We really enjoy CSI, all of them. Usually only watch the 11pm show though. I like the amount of advertizing ('cause I have time then to do the whole day's dishes that I didn't do during the day.) CSI is about the only show I watch these days 'cause I am either working on business stuff or working outside in the yard and only have time to sit down after dark. Now, dark is after 10 pm already.

I really enjoy gardening shows on TV but in the last few years the quality of the gardening shows has gone 'down the tubes'. We used to get shows about the plants, about how to do things in your garden, shows that taught you something about gardening. I really enjoyed Ken Beattie's show, 'Get Growing' on Saturday am until they cancelled it last year. Now, the new thing out is to quickly make over one yard and since the neighbor has the identical backyard, let's see what each landscaper can do to make them look different. No information about the plants is given. So...I am tempted to cancel HGTV. In the summer when I want to work outside that is when the TV producers used to air the gardening shows...not in the winter when I had the time to sit down for the evening. Now, it doesn't make any difference 'cause there are no really good informative gardening shows on anyways.

    There...my 'beef' for the day.

Oh I hear you Brenda, HGTV is crap these days. They should really take the G out of their network initials. I would too cancel but we have a package deal with other channels that DH likes to watch.

About That 70Âs Show, I wonder if Fez and Jackie will hitch together!

Yeah, HGTV has really gone down hill for gardening shows in last few years. But I do really enjoy the designing shows and especially the real estate shows.
The only other must watch shows for me, are survivor and ER. I occasionally watch the CSI shows and Law & Order.

I must say, most of the gardening shows really annoy me. They all seem to take place in Vancouver or Toronto, not very relevant to the top of a prairie hill. On Sunday, DH was watching a gardening show (that's about a close as he gets to gardening.) He was trying to convince me that I need to leave the bud unions on my roses out of the ground, because they need sunlight. He got a little huffy when I informed him that I plant mine at least 6 " deep. I don't know if that's officially correct, but I can say that I either lose the whole rose, or it does fine - no unwanted growth from the rootstock. I do enjoy the CSI's and other crime shows, and I'll go back to watching them this winter, or if I absolutely HAVE to catch up on my patching. Hey - its rerun season anyways!

I love Cold Case. Does anyone else like it?

NCIS -Ziva's my favorite, she's got "chutzpah" as they say in Israel, roughly translated as "nerve", "guts" or "b*lls".

    CSI-Miami and Las Vegas

and educational/documentary stuff... eg History channel etc.

CTV has "Alice I Think" on Sundays.
The reason IÂm bringing this up is because the show is set in Smithers.
At least some of the exterior shots were taken in the Smithers area.
The show is about a 15-year old girl misfit and her family.
The show is based on the series of books by Susan Juby, who grew up in Smithers.
According to some of the long-term residents here a lot of the characters played are recognizable.
The show has been playing on the Comedy Network, which I donÂt receive.
