Yes, both Laurie and I missed your visit. Oh, well, at least you had a great holiday. You'll be back.

Trucks can be quite noisy especially that close to the highway. We can hear them from our acreage (which is 1 km from the #1 highway) as the semis come up out of the Assiniboine River Valley by our place. Even noisier when it is going to rain or is raining.

Did your plants survive in your yard?

Glad your holidays went well Michele. Yes, we did miss you, but there's always next time, right?

We also just got back from camping in Medora, North Dakota. The badlands are so rugged, but incredibly beautiful. The scenery was definitly the highlight, but the Medora Musical was spectacular too. It's just too bad that it was so bloody hot. Wednesday afternoon we went to Dickinson to shop(and to get into some air conditioning) and the local radio station had said they had just broken the record from 1925. It was 103F! Ahhh, but at least it was a DRY heat. The humidity was only at 11%! In Manitoba, I don't think the humidity ever gets that low. We're used to having it around 50% or higher!
