Happy Halloween, everyone. Hope everyone manages to give away all of their candy. No extra pounds needed on me, anyway. I love the pic, Sharon. Despite the cold weather, I've had about 30 kids, so far and it's only 7:00 PM. I made a grim reaper and have lights and a fog machine going outside. Plus I've got bats hanging all over the veranda. Looks pretty good. I wish the weather was a bit warmer.

Gotta run. More ghosties at the door.

This was a different Halloween. I didn't think we'd get too many kids because of the weather. We usually only get about 7, so i was ready for 8 and actually expected only 5. Tricked me! We got 11! Fortunately, dh had some pop stashed away so i gave out three cans of that!

Adam was already over here looking for extra candy! LOL

Shauna, you got way more kids than us. It's quarter to nine here and we only got 14 kids. The town puts on fireworks at 7pm so you usually don't get any kids after that but I thought I'd leave my pumpkin lit for awhile later. I have so much candy leftover it isn't funny.

lol I always hand out pop! That way the tons of candy the kids come home with I usually have leftovers to wash down the confiscated stuff!

We ended up having about 60 kids. A bit down from last year's 80ish but more than I expected, considering the weather.

Our niece and her fiance came over with all of their candy. They live a couple of blocks away and didn't get anyone. So they brought their candy and a bottle of wine over here, which we polished off in short order. Plus, whenever the kids came to the door, DN went to the door and handed out double candy. The kids loved this house tonight.

It was cold out there today. I froze mt tush off taking Kenzie around. We had 20 or so kids, which is surprising for the weather today, plus there wasn't anyone home for a while, so I'm sure we missed some of the earlier ones. I live on the edge of town, so I never know what to expect. Over the years, I've had as little as 4 and then as high as 70. So I have tons of stuff left over.

We went to our new (South African) neighbors house. They invited us in for cookies and juice. (that was there treat) While I was there, I had to show her how to use her self cleaning oven. I'm always entertained by the bunch of them.
Cultures are so different. They show so much enthusiasim towards things we just take for granted.

Anyways --HAPPY HALLOWE'EN!!!

Not the best picture - it may have been the wine. LOL. But here was our front entry last night. My youngest DS made a fog chiller for the fog machine so that the fog would hug the ground but it was a bit too windy to get the proper effect. Maybe next year. I want to add a bit every year to our "haunted house". I actually enjoy decorating for it more than I do Christmas.
