I'm not sure how easy these are to start from seed. I usually buy mine as small cuttings or plants in the spring, generally $3-4. They are not hardy here, but can be cut back and overwintered in the cold cellar quite easily.

Thank you for the info! I do have cold cellar and already overwinter a lot of things, so one more won't be a burden :-)

I just brought my potted lemon verbena plant into the house last night. Haven't decided whether or not to cut it back now or wait until spring. If I leave it, the leaves gradually dry up and fall off in my cold cellar. A bit messy, but I can live with it.
