I like that purple color. Are yours planted together? I was thinking about it. I think the shapes might be interesting.

I really hope this Ville de Lyon doesn't turn out to be a very expensive annual in my yard. I paid full price for this plant. I've planted it at the end of the deck where we shovel all the snow. I hope that helps.

Marie, my Ville de Lyons has been going strong for several years now. It scared me this year by being really late to show, and it hasn't started blooming yet. It was just gorgeous last summer!

Karyn, my clematis are not planted together. I've started planting them by my climbing roses.

I have two that are planted sort of together, Nelly Moser and Durandii. They are in a corner with their trellises at a right angle. It's only their second year, and both have only had one bloom. They're the ones that ended up behind the tall hollyhocks. I guess i'll have to try and control those hollyhocks a bit better in the future!

Here is Durandii. It's only had one bloom, and i think i might have to move it and Nelly and the rose Delicata next year. Kind of stupid to keep them hiding behind the hollyhocks, even if it's every two years.
