p.s to J4ck..it may have come to me mislabeled. The closest I can see is Prince's Plume, but mine had purple foliage as well as plume.

How fast do they grow anyway, and do you just sprinkle them in the ground when it warms up?

I don't bother collecting seeds from them anymore..they volunteer every spring. Sprinkling seeds once the ground warms up..probably now..would be fine. They get to be 3-5 feet by August.

I have an Amaranthus that looks like this one called "Intense Purple". I received the seeds here on GW. If you are looking for seeds for it, I do have a few left.
