That's really interesting, Marg. I've overwintered mine for a few years now and i never saw anything like that. It must like where you have it!

Unfortunately, mine has died. I've been meaning to post about it - it and my Red Shield Hibiscus just dried right up and died. A real disappointment. I did get cuttings of the alternanthera before it died, though, so i'll have another plant. I really liked both of these plants.

Hi. These 'flowers' were really unexpected! I keep my plant in a sunroom. There are lots of windows. We keep the temp there at about 17C. I couldn't believe it when I went back and there were all these little 'tufts' on the plant. It is going gangbusters with them. They are really cute because each tuft has a dot of pink in the middle of it. Marg
