figs for florida

I have a friend in florida that wanting a fig tree in their yard. What's the best suitable variety to be grown in ground?

That will be her first fig tree. She haven't ate a fig before. So I wanted to give a variety that will do well. She's in zone 10 in southern florida.

Hi Bass,

I would agree with Celeste, LSU Gold/Purple, and Alma on the Gulf Coast. I seem to remember reading the LSU's being more resistant to RKN. Both my Celeste and the Alma down the street are sweet and have great flavor.
