That is a gorgeous one. I wonder how long until we'll be able to find it in the local nurseries......

Last year, I had seen this one offered by a Canadian mail order place, though unfortunately it was unavailable ... so, I will just have to keep looking!

Savona, many of these large flowered types are really rather hardy. Stick to the hard prune varieties and plant deeply in rich loose fertile soil and pile on a good amount of peat moss for winter protection.

I checked out the clematis forum and someone in Toronto had a really hard time finding any of the Kivistik clematis' in Canada but found one in Home Depot. Maybe we should all check there this year.

Yes Kivistik clematis are very hardy and beautiful
I have a lot of them -cost almost nothing, 3 us dollars each including postage .. For that price I get barerooted plants

I don't think Estonia is anything like USDA zone 2. The clematis must have parentage from somewhere else, or species that range to colder areas. I would be pretty skeptical about its survival in zone 9 though.
