    yup, we are!

DH is at the airport right now getting my Mom and Sister who just flew in from BC! They came from all the storms in BC to see what the other side of their storms look like (just kidding really, but thats whats happening) but atleast they beherebefore it gets REALLY bad. DH was working out by HWY 2 by Leduc this morning and said that it was getting really bad there already by lunch time.

**** sorry for the run-together words there --- for some reason I can't insert words it keeps typing over --- going to figure out what's going on ****

Ang, check if you hit the "Insert" button near Delete. We're supposed to get that storm tomorrow but not as bad. Yay, more snow for my roses! :0)

    Hope you girls are ok!

Starting to blow and bluster right now. It's not supposed to really hit until midnight with 75 km/hr winds and blizzard snow. But the traffic reports have been talking all day about lots of cars in the ditches along the surrounding highways. We got some brutal winds on Sunday night - about 85 km/hr. We can still use a bit more snow cover, IMO, but I wish the temps. would be a bit warmer.

Oh well, we're on the far side of winter now. Only a few more weeks until Groundhog Day. LOL Stay warm, everyone. This sounds like it might be a doozy.

It's even supposed to reach us tomorrow. There aren't any blizzard warnings, just predictions of up to 15 cm of snow. We definitely can use some more snow cover for the gardens and for the septic fields.

Ironically, the spirit club at school planned a "Blizzard Day" for tomorrow when eveyone is supposed to wear white. That's just as good as the two snow days we had during my Book Fair, whose theme was "Book Fair Blizzard"! :>

Although it is windy, the wind doesn't seem as bad as predicted. The snow is the really fine stuff but we are really socked in. It looks just like a super foggy day. Not looking forward to venturing out this afternoon. I wouldn't except one DS has to be picked up from a phys. ed. field trip to the university today. And I have a meeting tonight. Yuckk. I'm going back to cuddle under the quilt for a bit to read some seed catalogues. Just the joys of a normal Canadian winter. I think I've become spoiled after last year.

Well, we got blasted for about 24 hours - the wind moreso than the amount of snow was the worst of it. But now - oooohhh, bone chilling cold. It's -35 this morning but thankfully the wind has calmed down.

That's what we had on Wednesday. I got a snow day! When I tried to go to work, I had the kids watching out the side windows so they could tell me where the edges of the road were. We turned around at the corner and came home. Woke up Thursday to clear, calm, and -30. I cleaned kitchen cupboards, planted some wheat for the kitty (cat grass), and planted some John Davis seeds that had sprouted in my fridge. Maybe I'll get baby roses.

We got blasted pretty bad up here! People stranded in vehicles due to drifts. All ok though. The fields look like choppy water on a lake.

We must have got about 6" of snow with it but the worst was the wind for two days. Got down to -35 Wednesday night(thank goodeness the wind had quit!)but warmed up to -20 this morningand its supposed to be back up to around 0 by Monday. At least it was relatively short lived. Boy, we haven't had a storm that bad in a few years anyway.

I got a bit of painting done on a project I'm working on when it was so cold, too. I think I was finished outside chores in record time!

We had a snow day yesterday, but they don't close the schools so i had to go to work. Dh had been up early and made a pass up our road with his plow so i had no trouble getting to work. Today it was COLD! I don't think it got above -25° and is supposed to go down to -31° tonight. Not quite as bad as those of you on the prairies, though! I've been thinking about you all as i hear weather reports from out there!
