Please help Identify Unknown Rose

Hoping some one here can help me saw this rose Growing in Zone 3 It had been there quite a while and had obviously not had much TLC. It was about 3 ft high fairly wide for it's height. Kinda reminded me of Henry Hudson but the hips were absolutely huge about 1 inch in diameter and the blossoms and buds were both very white.

Looks like the single white Rugosa Rose.

Thank you I had not thought of that one as these hips were very large compared to the red (pink) Rugosa I have seen. If it is I guess I need to find a white rugosa as it was very nice looking shrub and had a lot of hips on it so must have had a good bloom.

Almost definitely Rosa rugosa alba.
I've never grown it, but have 25 coming this spring.
I was wondering how tall it grows for you?

Very pretty! You can always tell a Rugosa, they have those distinctive leaves...

Thank you all for your help. Guess I know a rose for my yard!

There was a certain charm about this rose that caught my eye and the big bright hips would sure add a nice touch to the winter garden.
