The leaves are kind of daylily like, so yes its clumping.

Depends how big your cells are? I don't like using those small cells for WS'ing, they dry out way too fast, I use those 5x7" inserts or the big 6 cell jumbos. If they are jumbos cells, go for 2-3 seeds per cell.

Spiderwort is another name for it. It does look very much like a daylily in its leaves. Last summer I was given a daylily and there was a little plant of spiderwort in the clump also. Didn't realize this until it bloomed. The spiderwort can be an invasive plant but it is easy to control if planted a little ways from other plants.
