fava beans

In tropical summer climates, the only two vegetables that thrive are okra and eggplant. I developed a taste for okra but I can pass on the eggplant.

One of the catalogues had a maroon coloured Okra.
Fava beans are different ,but pick them when they are very young---they get tough. They have nice flowers too.
Cardoon is different---some blanch the stalks and eat it like asparagus.
I once ordered Jicama seeds,but did not get them started.
Most of the tropicals need a longer grow time than we get.

I found some 'Cajun Delight' okra seeds that I ordered last year (and promptly forgot). I'll probably start them next week, as that should give them enough time to grow before they're transplanted outside at the end of May.
