May I hop in here?

You gals all sound so nice and informative! I've been in the Minnesota site but most of them there are in zone 4 and here I am in zone 3. Some things that are hardy in zone 4 are hardy here also but lots of them aren't. We seem to be in a spot here that gets really cold. Last year I lost lots of plants as we didn't have a good snow cover and I usually don't mulch alot of things. And then the DEAR DEER !! They came in our garden just before Christmas, dug down in 14 inches of snow and ate strawberries! Our hunting season had just ended but there were plenty left. In the summer we put electric fence around our garden and apple trees but not my flower beds. Most of the flowers they leave alone except for the Hostas. I lay old woven wire on the ground around the Hostas and they won't cross that. One purpose I have in wanting to join you gals is to inquire as to what varities of different plants and shrubs you grow. I'm also wondering if anyone has an address for a catalog from Morden Nurseries in Morden? Would appreciate receiving it. Thanks!
