Actually sounds pretty good.

I wouldn't have used the rooting hormone, but the liquid variety is supposed to be considerably less of a problem than the powder. The powder seems, from several reports, to promote rotting.

Check them every few days for signs of molding, which is usually only an issue if there is excess moisture, which doesn't sound like it should be a problem for you.

Also, sitting directly on the heating pad might cause drying of burning of the contact side, so I would check frequently for signs of a problem.

Thanks Pit, I am taking the heating pad back to Wal Mart it goes off every two hours. I am thinking of getting a cheap electric blanket instead. What I can do is turn the cutting every once in awhile to keep them from drying out.

hi jon and vern,
i had heard from friends that the reason the powered
hormone causes rotting is because people use too much.
i was instructed to dip the cutting then tap it so most
of the power falls off. also i wondered, since i use
cammomile as a fungicide with other plants would
it be benificial for mold on cuttings. it works
great for damping off on tomato seedlings.
any thoughts?
