Sharon,
Have you ever tried growing Dierama pulcherrimum (Angel's Fishing Rods)? Not really a grass and I know it is zone pushing to the extreme but I'm already astonished at what you grow out there! Thought you may have it somewhere tucked into a cozy bed.

Thanks Ginny, no I don't grow Dierama pulcherrimum but I do so wish. Do you grow it? I believe Gardens North sells the seed maybe it will be good to overwinter in a coldroom.

Hi Sharon,
I got the seed from The Garden Path (Seeds of Victoria) last week. I thought it mught be a more winter hardy variety (apparently there is such a thing). So I guess I will give it a go. It is native to South Africa.......it grows huge down there......duhya think? And it sure is pretty. Hmmmmm? We'll just have to see what happens.
