I don't know treefrog, MsMarion wants me to come too but I think you might have enough coming.
    I'm not crashing a party!

I have just decided to double-up on my potato salad !

Helen , do you have any of the sweet "desert" nanas ?

    D`Ann

    Oh yes, Wanda, please come.
If the house gets too small we'll just have to cozy up.

I talked to Kat. She thought anyone going to her house first might get there by noon, then come here at about 2.

I'll be here all day so you all can come by anytime.
I just might put you to work though!

So is anyone counting? How many are we up to now?

What else will we need for food and drink?

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Treefrog I'll be down early to help. I'm planning on riding down Sunday morning to bring you the roast. Let me know if there is any thing else I can bring. Oh I have four fold up chairs.

Do any of you guys want a compost bin? I wasn't sure if I would be able to go to the playdate since we are going to VA that week. It turns out we aren't leaving until Tues. I don't have any plants but I have a black compost bin taking up space.

Michele and D'Ann...I probably can dig up an ice cream banana, maybe some others (dwarf plantain?) And thank you Michele, I would absolutely love a suriname!

Katkin, I'll bring some of both colors for you...please just remember to watch it for scale just in case!

Veronica...the AB you gave me is doing great, I'd be happy to bring you back a piece if you want it still. I'd like to trade for some bromeliads, I have some heliconia and etilator (sp) seedlings?

Cliff, can I trade you a yellow tab for your purplish-pinkisn one? Mine had just germinated before I left for Alexandria, then Tally, and now Marco...hopefully they will have survived! If not, I have a bunch of super fresh seeds I got from Coke Nut.

JoanM, if I had a lil truck I'd say sure, but why arent you using it? No one can have enough compost now, can they?

    tony

Tony baloney, you want an Aztek Gold Plumie to keep your lil red wine one company?? Nice fragrance...hmmm?

MsMarion, dear, I need to correct you. Tony's wifey is "Saint MaryBeth", she earned the title BECAUSE she has to live with him!!!

I must warn all of you ladies too. Tony may appear shy, but bet your bottom-he's eyeing you!
    LOOK there he is now!

    Hey Helen,

Yes, Pinkish/Purple( I only say that color, because that was the color of the blooms) Tab is yours.

Oh, Treefrog..I will need directions. I am right off 95 @ Commercial Blvd and Andrews.

    Tropicalfreak

Wanna Run Faster I can give you as many Surinam as you would like. They are propogating like crazy. And thanks for the bananas...I can taste them already :-) I havent seen any iguanas around where I am.

nytrinigemini Do you have a surinam to spare? Love to try it.

Joan I'd love your compost bin. The one I made isn't working very well for me.

Sure Cindeea I have tons...how many would you like? They are just seedlings....mine have formed a huge hedge on one side of my house.

Now I have to come! The "SB" will be there! HA
I have some surnum cherries too popping up. How do you transport them? I'll try to bring something to eat too.
Treefrog, what is your address, I'll map quest it.

WRF - I would love to have a cutting of your double white brug if you have enough. I have angel wing/dragon wing (don't really know the difference) begonia cuttings I'll bring you.

Tony - you're so clever, but you better watch out for Cindee!

    Ginny

    Has Cindee seen it yet??

    Tropicalfreak

You guys are so bad.....I love it :-)

    Hi Helen,

Do you have enough cutting of ( I think ) a double petticoat white brug ? HAWAIIAN DOUBLE ??

At Ricky`s in May , I got two cutting from you . One was white / the other was a frosty pink

The pink is thriving...the white croaked. Go figure ! LOL

    If not ,then next time.

    thanks,

    D`Ann

Tony, you are a baaaaad boy! lol

OK, Marion got first dibs on the bin. Kathy, did you want a piece of a Potato tree? The one in the back needs some trimming. What sort of cutting?

Wow, you guys are posting a lot!!!
Katkin, I dug for you the galanga. What other gingers do you have, I have from you the DR. MOY and it is doing great. I love it.
Thanks Helen, my cutting marks have washed off, so I don't know which one is which. And I really want to plant a good variety by the post. Has the AB fruited for you yet?
The ice cream banana is exceeding my expectations, it already has 2 new pups on it. The grand nain is little slower, hopefully it will take off.
I have bunch of star apple (caimito) seedlings for anybody interested. Couple of black sapote seedlings as well.
    Veronika

Do you use the galanga Veronika?
I've seen it in recipes before, but used regular ginger instead.
    How is it different?

I've not been posting any trades, but I expect everybody to take something home with you from my yard.

    Treefrog,
I have not use it yet. But I am gathering all the edibles in my garden to start doing some serious thai cooking (which I really love). This galangal was given to me by a thai family, that we frequent into their restaurat a lot. They use it side by side with regular ginger, but galangal supposed to give it a little notch of other flavor (more floral). They also use it in Tom Gha kai, which is my favorite soup. I can bring you some rhizome if you are interested. I also have sprouting of 7 different varieties of thai basil. LOL. I am really into this edible landscaping!!!

Veronika I would love a star apple and black sapote seedling if you have.... I only have the surinam Cherrys but I already know you have enough of those :-)...thanks for helping me ID them by the way. MIchele

joanm...if you're trimming the potato tree anyway, put my name on a piece!

I have also got some of the Talinum Fruiticosium that's pictured in my top pics thread in discussions.

TONY!!!!!!!! I'll get you, you lil' turd! Get me outta that cornfield!

Joan, oh yes please, a cutting of the potato tree. Just cut off any piece you need to trim and I'll take it from there. ;o)

Cindee, what cornfield? Whattdya talkin about?

    I am sooo jealous!!!
    I wanna go :-(
One day I will make it down to one of ya'lls get togethers!!!

C'mon Ariel, You have lotsa good stuff to bring and you really enjoy the different plants. You can do it !!

Ariel if you come I will bring you one of the Anise Hysops :-)

We'd love to have you come Ariel.
    I know it's a long ride, but...
Now then, who's having a slumber party for the outa towners?

Froggy, I thought all the wimmen were sleeping with you...

And Tony should be containered-he's kinda invasive!

Veronika, do you have yellow dancing ladies or the globe glabba? I also have a tall (6ft) yellow ginger smells very sweet, noid.

nytrinigemini, I would love one of your anise hyssop - either plant or seeds. Would you be interested in a clerodendrum speciossisimum - a great hummingbird plant or blue ageratum, loved by bees and butterflies.

    Ginny

Hey Now Cindee, no one said I was perfect ya know, YET, this doesnt mean I am completely useless. After all, I can always be used as a BAD EXAMPLE, right? You bring out the best in me!

    Now go ZIP them LIPS
    {{gwi:757159}}

    Katkin,
I used to have the globa from Lady, but I am not very good with dormant things, and I misplaced it somewhere...
Any ginger that you want to bring me is fine (I have butterfly ginger, kahili ginger, Daniel weeks, alpinia formosana (pine striped), costus osae, costus specious, alpinia japonica, costus comosus, costus stenophyllus, Costus stepladder (Costus malortieanus)alpinia purpurata, alpinia nutans narrow leaf, Costus cuspidatus, costus woodsonii, hedychium kewense, costus barbatus than the edible gingers: regular ginger, turmeric, galangal. These are my gingers. Anything that I don't have would be great.

Nytrinigemini if you have an extra anise hysop, I would like that a lot. I love anise flavored tea.
    Thanks Veronika

    Tony, Tony, Tony...sigh-I give up!

Katkin, I hate to ask but do you have more dancing ladies? I could take a chunk of my White Epi Ciliare for you, if you don't already have it.

    {{gwi:757162}}

Cindee, were we ever married in our previous life?

Got it ...I will add two Anise to my List of things to bring.....Veronika you have to tell me how to make tea out of it...I heard its good for many things....Ginny I would love a piece of the clerodendrum (looks really cool) or the blue ageratum....my goal is to have as many plants the hummingbirds and butterflies like so that I can increase my chances of seeing them :-) Variety should tempt them right?

Grow, I lost all the tags to my gingers after F&J so I hope I can bring you one you don't already have. I have a dwarf with burgandy on the underside of the leaves.

Cindee, sure I'll bring you some dancing ladies for the epi. ;o)

Oh, how about a piece of that pink succulent too?

    You got it Katkin!

    Katkin,
I almost did forget about that one. That is a Costus purple queen,
and I believe that you have got it from me at Fall Ricky's swap :-)
The globa would be great. Maybe I will have a better luck with it.
    Veronika
