I don't specifically have a categorized album just for grasses. They are pretty well mingled with the other photos.

A friend of mine bought some of the Pompas Grass(pink)(I think that's how you spell it) and she said she has too many as all the seeds grew. I'm thinking of taking some of it. Does it need to be tamed or will it stay in place and not run away?

Thanks Terry, Calamagrostis are my favourites, but one other tall grass that really looks awesome in the fall is
ANDROPOGON gerardi Blue Stem Beard Grass.

Kathy, Pampas grass is not hardy in our zone.

I got Karl three years ago from a nursery, and love it...but that other one you grow is really really nice!

Karl, I got from a local nursery. I've got about 5 of them now, they are so easy to divide.

ANDROPOGON gerardi Blue Stem Beard Grass was started by seed years ago. I think I gave the left-over seeds in the box of seeds that is going around. If you or Terry want some of this grass let me know come spring if it ever gets here. I can divide and some send you some, since I have about 10 clumps of this one ;)

I did buy some grasses from Bluestem a couple of years ago too.

I was planning on dividing my Karl this spring...do you just cut a pie piece out of the clump or do you lift it all and divide it that way Sharon?
I would be THRILLED to have a piece of your other grass! I think it would look wonderful around my waterfall.
I'm not much of a seed starter...mind you, I did abit of wintersowing that seems to work well for me. HA!

Deb, I just dig the whole plant out and divide in quarter chunks with a sharp spade.
