Knowing a source of our native, [little nuts] out in the bush and getting them before the Squirrel do is about the only option. I know the frustration with U of S...been there.

I picked up two last year from the U of S. I was disorganized and they are still in the pot. They are sort of hard to transport as these plants upon purchase were held in a bucket of water. Hazelnuts cannot dry out. I am curious if they will come back. They did all their growing by mid June. The roots are absolutely huge on these things and are larger than up top. I could barely fit them in a 5 gallon pail with some holes drilled in the bottom.

I am in Regina. I plan on picking up a few more. How many would you like me to pick up?

Note: The line up was insane last year because they pulled everything indoors due to the rain. Big mistake as there people were literally walking over each other. It was sad. Most of the good stuff was gone in 20 minutes.
