Congratulation for your new camera. That's a beautiful shot, and a gorgeous bloom.

I have a 5 years Hoya that never bloomed because I was too generous with it and put it in a big container. Later I found out it likes potbound, and now I'm afraid to disturb it.

I should know by now not to move my photos in my Photobucket after posting. LOL

Thanks gg and Mariana, I do have mine rootbound, in a south facing window. Its not fully covered with blooms but a few right now. This is the first time I've seen the nectar though.

I have 2 mature hoya plants that I inherited from my grandmother in law, and after some trial and error I found that although they like to be pot bound, the most important factor is bright direct sunlight. Both of my plants, as soon as they were moved into a south facing window, consistently bloom. Right now I am enjoying the wonderful scent that they give off in the evening.

Hoyas are easy and rewarding plants :) ... nice photos!

Marg, oh I love Photobucket.... however, I usually upload right into an designated album but forgot this time, therefore when you move a photo to a different album, you break the link.

Lovely Sharon.

Pretty flowers, but no other plant makes me sneeze more and if there is more then one bloom I have to cut them off. They are far more fragrant at night.
