Excellent! Saw them here in Calgary today too. I usually first hear them while waiting for the bus in the morning, any time from mid-March on. (Bad weather on their way up probably delayed them a little this year.)

No robins here yet but I took my grandson ice fishing yesterday and while we were fishing we saw geese and seagulls flying around. Getting closer!!!!!!

It sounds very "springish" out there with all the birds chirping. I am very lousy at ID'ing bird sounds but it does sound different now! I haven't seen a robin yet this year but now I will for sure be looking for them!

Yes, today I have seen my first robin on the way to work. I think spring has made it`s way here to the east coast.

They've finally made it here too! Dh saw one yesterday at his friend's cabin, and the official in-our-yard robins arrived this evening. I heard them chirping when i came back from dinner after church, and could see one in the top of the tallest tree in back. They always seem to head to that tree to announce their presence! :)

Yeah! I actually saw a robin yesterday! Whoo-hoo!

There's been a whole flock of robins here that I noticed on Saturday. Sure is nice to see them! I heard my first frog croaking this afternoon, and it's a balmy 20*C now. We had a fair amount of rain yesterday and more for tomorrow with possible thunderstorm!??! You all know the saying, "April showers bring May flowers"!

Well, Konrad, those robins took ten days to get from Beaumont to Ellerslie (a ten minute highway drive). I just saw and heard my first one this evening. But, he was so nice. A big, dark colored male, really letting the world know he had arrived. And he loved my flower beds. Fed in there for about ten minutes.

We don't have many (more like none) mature trees around here right now, which is probably why I haven't seen any until tonight. He's probably a bit late and can't find a mate. Their eggs should just about be ready to hatch, shouldn't they?

The robins have been here about a week. My wife and daughter saw a couple when they went for a walk one day. I haven't seen one yet but I heard one singing night before last when I was working outside.

Also we had a weiner roast, night before last, at my daughters and we were killing mosquitos!!! Another sign of spring although I don't like that one.:>(

Last winter I saw dozens of them in Febuary here on their way north, but I didn't see any this year. I look forward to seeing these sweeties again when my hubby and I return to WI for 2 months this summer.

Have you ever herd the phrase:...Live is better in Beaumont! LOL
I think it's just because you are in a brand new establishment...give it a few years.

Right now, ...it's breeding time, looking for nesting sites and building a new nest.
