Sounds like alot of fun. You are about1 1/2 hours away from me, but that should not be a problem. The only thing that would stop me is my husbands work. And there is a possibility that his schedule might change but I won't know until the beginning of march. But other than that I am there!!

I hope you all can make it. Just so you know there will be people there from a local yahoo gardening group I belong to as well. Does anyone want to list some of the plants that you plan on bringing or what you hope to find? Or we could just leave it as a surprise for the day of the swap.

If it rains on swap day we will simply have the swap in my parent's summer kitchen (they live next door to me).

I believe we met at Fuzzy's! You had given me some milkweed seeds (amongst other wonderful things)! This past year, the monarchs in our yard have been very thankful to you! We'll plan to be there.

Wanna Run Fast, depending on what part of Orlando you live in I'm about 1 to 1.5 hours drive northwest of Orlando (more west than north). Citrus county is on the gulf coast.

I'd like to attend your plant swap. I just moved to Citrus county from NY a couple of months ago and have absolutely NO plants in my yard (except a few pathetic looking oak trees) so I wouldn't have anything to swap. But it would lovely to meet some of you.

SunShineState, I loved your house and yard. Could you bring some pictures of what your yard looks like now? I have all kinds of new plants to share including some native ground orchids that just started growing in the woods behind my parents house. I've also started on a second garden journal which includes a couple pictures of plants from your house, one of them is that pretty pitcher plant from your front porch.

Steve, you're probably no more than an hour away from me if you come by 75. Hope you'll be able to come.

Nicki, it took a little under an hour to get to your house. Cookies are always welcome! I'm planning on making some raspberry lemonade and some nibblies for everyone. It'd be great if you could get Paige to come. She could dig up some more of those gloriosa lilies she doesn't want and pass them around! lol I'm really looking forward to this too.

Maureen, you're more than welcome to come even without plants. You can bring anything to do with gardening to the swap, like flower pots, gardening books, garden decor, ect...I came home from one swap with a decorative wagon wheel that's currently hanging up on my front porch. Even without bringing anything you'll probably still end up going home with some plants. I have lots of elephant ears and mondo grass (among other things) that could use new homes, although you'll probably have to help me dig them up!

Now that Ariel has alerted me to this swap, I'm planning to be there! I don't have anything started yet but should be able to get a few things ready in time. I was at Fuzzy's swap too and really enjoyed meeting everyone.
I hope to have some mysore banana pups to share as well as some little plumeria seedlings. And maybe a couple orchids.

Hopefully I'll be there... not sure what cuttings I'll have. Maybe some iresine, cassia, Richard Wallace cannas. It's not too cold to start cuttings now?

Kate, I have clumping bamboo for you. I can dig some that has small leaves and small culms. It's pretty, and still gets plenty large enough to provide privacy. Unfortunately I don't have the name. It was sold as "bamboo". But it's definitely clumping, not running.

Hi KaraLynn, Please include me in your plant swap, I only live about an hour away and my mother lives about 15 minuates away. She would love to come also. I can just go pick her up and head your way. I grow rare succulents from south africa witch I call 'orchids of the succulent world'. I can bring a few to trade, I also have lots of other rare and exotic things to bring. Nicole, bring all the plants you want! When I go to a swap I ussually end up filling my car with plants. I have a small collection of succulents that I would love to add to and I'm also in any other unussual plants.

I saw on your list that you have white cat whiskers and purple porterweed, too. If they aren't all spoken for, I would be interested in one each of those.

In exchange I can offer bananas (mysore - very tasty), white shrimp plant, a small plumeria, yellow brug, lions paw (not started yet, but I'm trying!), a large reddish bromeliad, and possibly an orchid if I get it split. Also some plumeria and sunflower seedlings. Let me know what you might be interested in.

In truth I have no idea. My next door neighbor is a landscape contractor and brought me a couple of large pails of bulbs, that he had removed from a yard in Spring Hill. From the looks of them I would say that they are going to bloom before the 25th. I'll post pixs of them when they bloom. The link is to a pix of what they look like now.
