Question: Cutting in Bag Method

This is my first attempt so I have a question.

How wet/moist should the towels be when I wrap the cuttings?

Right now I use the Costco towels, they're large about 12" x 10". I wad it into a ball slightly smaller than a ping pong ball, dampen the towel with very little water. I estimate 1 teaspoon, but that's enough to wet the entire towl and I'm still able to wring out a little more water. Is that too little water? I'm worried it about being too wet and causing mold problems.

In regards to mold, after 4 days I've noticed some fuzzy white poofs so I used the 10% bleach solution and a small toothbrush to scrub the cutting before rewrapping. The irony here is the mold was on a cutting I bleached and scrubbed before my intial wrapping in towels while another cutting I just wrapped straight-away with no prep has no mold. I wonder if I'm just providing enough moisture for the mold/fungus to grow and not enough for the cutting to start rooting.

The cuttings are in ziplocs and my house is about 68 to 70F.

Thanks for any advice
