Can anyone identify this fig?

A fig tree was given to me this weekend by a fellow gardener. She needed the room in her house. It was kept on her sun porch for the winter and put outside in the spring. It has figs on it now but they have almost no taste. I am going to attempt to add photos here. Any help in identification would be great.

    Hi Steve,

Your pictures look very much like a tree I have but I havn't
been able to identify it either. In the beginning I kept it in the house too. I bore 3 crops of figs that tasted alright but not great. Last year it seemed to be doing poorly. I put it outside, root pruned it and repotted it and had a crop of 50 of the best tasting juicy figs I've ever eaten. I wintered it over in my garage. It is budding now but still too cold and wet to put it outside. I'm hoping it will put on some new growth and more figs. So far it is my favorite fig. Do you know how old your tree is? How long since it has be repotted with new soil?

steve and Peg, you are lucky that fig looks so good very promissing.

Steve, you have to keep it outside in the summer and it will be a very good fig.

Peg, your fig looks excellent except I think you should give it some food because I see figs on the tips but branches are telling me they did not grow much? maybe new and/or more soil or bigger container, or as I say more fertls.

    Good luck,

sorry Steve I don't know the name, but don't worry it looks good

    I like a mystery ...

When you picked the fig, did the stem seep latex (white sap)? If so, the fig may not have been ripe & thus the bland taste.

It is possible you are looking at an "Italian Honey" (ribbed figs, neutral interior.) Attached are some pics from an IH for comparison. I am having a hard time seeing a representative leaf ... is it close to this one?

    Stevec,
I don't think mine is IH. It is not ribbed and the interior is much paler, just a little color in the very center. Your pic shows much more color. But oh so juicy and tasty! It has many different leaf shapes so it is hard to tell from a leaf. I'll have to wait until mine leafs out again.

Could this fig be 'White Marseilles'?
Also known as 'Marseilles'; 'Blanca'; 'Blanche'; 'Lemon'.

I do not know how old this fig is. I will try to find out. The day I picked it up, it was yanked out of its pot because the person I got it from wanted to keep it for another plant. I did have to trim it down a bit to fit it into its new home/pot. I don't qualify that as root pruning, but I guess it was something. I also watered it in with a very little amount of Miracle Grow in the water. The figs that are shown on the plate fell off as I was repotting so some of them did have some milky sap. The leaves shown in the pictures are about it. There aren't many. I will have to wait to get a real representative leaf. From what the woman tells me, she did move the tree outside for the summer months so it does get sun in the summer. I will also put it out for the summer. I have a great place for it on the south side of my house on a deck.
Thanks for all the replies and comments.

I'm new to this forum but I also have this fig tree in a Keg bucket. I don't know what kind it is. I have a cutting from my grandfather's tree from Bridgeport, CT. Back in the early 80s he went to Naples where his family owned property. He took a cutting and wrapped it around his leg and flew back to the U.S. Then he planted in his yard. Maybe that can help a little with the mystery (or added to it).
