Hi,

We are thinking of planting a privacy hedge of Swedish Columnar Aspens along the back fence in our back garden. I've read that they should only be grown in full sun, and although our back garden is south facing and very sunny, there is a large stretch of shade in front of the fence cast by the neighbors house that is only about 4 feet from the fence. Has anyone grown these trees in part shade? Once they grow above the fence line, anything above that will be in full sun, but the lowest 6-7 feet of the trees will always be shaded. Does anyone think this will work? Thanks!
