I have a type of mock orange that are very fragrant, put in a Snowbelle last year but it is still under the snow so can't say how it is doing. They took years before blooming ,last year was the first year to really bloom but worth the wait. They were suckers from a 8'x8' shrub that is totally shaded on the south side by American elms. Mine are in full sun and I think heavy type of soil.

Just did a bit of a search and the only one that matches is a Blizzard Mock orange, zone 2b.

Think Norland, Tailman and Norkent apple would work, ..there is a bunch of others!
In plums, ..the Sprout's sunshine, Fofonoff, Supreme, Dandy, Peach Plum, Patterson's Pride, Pittston, Ivanovka and Brook/red/gold plum, plus more,..as a start, you need also a good pollinator, the Prunus Nigra, [Canada Plum] or American Plum. [both very hardy]

A really nice ornamental rock hardy shrub with pink flowers is the Muckle Plum, they're usually grafted to a hardy root stock.
