Double sigh. In fact, my winter sowing experiments are still under a good foot of snow! I've been so jealous of the postings exclaiming over the sprouts. But it is coming; the trees are all blushed red, and here and there you can see some fresh green (usually a dandelion!).

Won't be long now. It'll melt so fast once it starts and then you'll be starting all the spring celebrations, too. Let's face it, everyone, this year is exceptional.

Today is my youngest DS's birthday. Fifteen years ago, when I brought him home from the hospital, it was quite snowy with lots of snowbanks. However, it was starting to finally get warm. I think that's more the norm. Isn't that why people don't traditionally start putting things into the ground until the third week of May? Of course, there are all of us "pushers" that try things a bit earlier than that.
