TOO FUNNY! I just happened to sow a container of Amaranthus 'Hot Biscuits'. Every now and again it pays to do some cleaning, as I found this package of seed ;^)

Does anyone remember what z3 did last year? Just wondering if you know if we had more or less.

Ron probably has the stats. I don't remember for sure, but i think we probably broke 1000.

Since I'm running out of room in the basement, I think I may have to consider winter sowing. If I put marigolds in containers, do you think it's too early? I have so many seeds and I just don't have any more room downstairs. These are the seeds that I have tons of and could I put them in containers or should I wait?

Cosmos, marigolds, poppies of all kinds, calendulas, gallardias.

I just suggested this on the "indoor" thread. I should have read here first, before I responded on the other. Perfect time for all of these. Plant 'em up and put them out. Time's a wastin'. Read the FAQ's on the wintersowing forum and we will help you if you have questions that aren't answered over there.

I just finished winter sowing all of those, Claubill, and there are a couple of marigolds sprouting now. Coincidentally, they're from seed you sent me last year! :) If you get a really cold snap at any point after these have sprouted, make sure to cover them - cover the whole container, i mean. I lost some marigolds that way last spring.
