Catt, I planted my lilies out into the garden a week ago. If for some reason you can't plant them directly into the ground now, just pot them up until you are able to do so. If you are just waiting a couple of days until they can go into the ground, you can keep them somewhere cool in the mean time.

Don't worry about the odd frost at night. The bulbs will be planted deep enough that even if they are already sprouting, they won't be damaged. I planted all mine this past week too.

Some of my lilies from last year are starting to poke out of the ground already. So it can't be too early to plant into the ground. I did put mine into pots though. I was short on time and haven't cleaned out my lily bed yet. Plus my Orientals and crosses are going into a new bed which isn't quite ready.
