I think I'll be visiting the Seed Site quite frequently now. And I could be crazy, but it seemed like so much came up this weekend. I didn't see any sweet pea sprouts on Friday afternoon. Found about four of them sprouting in the "mess". Maybe I can start something new. I'll plant out a HM - hunk o' mess. We can see what it looks like as the summer progresses. Could be fun.

Thanks, for your very kind offers, gals, but I think I should be OK. Maybe someone was just telling me that I didn't have the room for all of it, this year, anyway. Although, I would be stubborn and get it all in somewhere, just to show someone that HE was wrong. Anyone else having this problem. LOL Marcia, save me some more lilac godetia in the fall.

Michele, the ones i WSed last year are doing great too - they're in a bed with WSed lupines and it's going to look great when they all bloom!

Marcia, I'm so jealous! Your vines are up? Campsis radicans? Mine are still sitting there just basking in their unsprouting glory. I'm sure they won't be far behind. I need to do my cypress vine, but I think I'll do it in one big pot. Did you soak it first? Also need to get my moonflower going. I've got morning glories up like crazy. They are sitting on my island in my kitchen and haven't made it down to the greenhouse. Looks like they don't have to, at this point.

I went out yesterday and found some more Asarina and dwarf sweet pea seeds. I've just about got my two flats replaced. Now, hopefully, they can get out there and hurry up to catch up.

Shauna, the campsis sat there for a long time before they sprouted. It was quite a surprise to see them yesterday. I soaked all the other vine seeds - moonflower, cypress vine and morning glories. Haven't gotten around to planting sweet peas yet - or even buying seeds. Hey, i thought i was done! :) Never done!

Yup....first thing up for me this year was the hollyhocks...still snow on the ground and it was frozen solid and those little buggers just came on thru.... I also noticed today that my delph is popping up...yippee!

Pretty excited about the blue poppy sprouts (thanks Ian)! I was thrilled last year when I had Meconopsis betonicifolia sprouts but disappointed when the seedlings just seemed to stall. They were pretty tiny to plant out in the garden so in the fall I buried the pots in a holding area but haven't seen any action yet.

Ian - I received the seeds in a group trade a while back where we all sent seeds to one person and she shuffled them up and sent us back the same number of seed packets. I think I lucked out :)

I didn't sow mine as early as you - mine were done Jan 3rd. It's interesting to see that they sprouted at the same time - Mother Nature just seems to know when the time is right.

On the otherhand in my little 4-shelf greenhouse, with my indoor-sown plants that are being hardened-off, I had zipped the flaps shut on Saturday night when it was rather stormy out there. What were nice healthy green plants on Saturday were crispy dead and black looking on Sunday morning. I don't think it got cold enough overnight to have been because of frost or anything.... so it must be from too much heat build up in there on Sunday morning (yeah, I didn't get out there till around lunch time.....)
I managed to revive a few things and left the flaps open ever since!

Cindy, it seems all my 'Rosie O'Day' sprouted too, but 'Carpet of Snow' to a lesser extent. However, they're both coming along great, and i hope they keep coming along great because the past couple of years they've ended up dying on me. If this weather would smarten up, i'd transplant them. However...

As for my sprouts, it's getting really sporadic now. I'll have to remember to check this evening so i can let everyone know what's germinated lately.
