LOL....no news to me, I used to wear a similar stool, [wood] some 40 years ago, helping my Dad milking cows.

At the Manitoba Horticultural Association convention in February, one of the speakers had a whole presentation on gardening for people with special needs. This was one of the ideas she presented. And I believe the picture you showed Sharon, she also showed. She was an excellent speaker and gave lots of ideas as to how to physically make gardening easier, eg, by adjusting your hoes and rakes, using the 'attached stool', raising the flowerbeds, etc.

'attached stool'... that just doesn't sound right... LOL!

The speaker that Brenda was talking about was really good! She did mention that you may get odd looks from your neighbors when you wear that stool......but I love the last line in that description "Just don't expect to look cool." They certainly got that right!lol

That's not a position I often find myself in as I'm often bent right over OR with my knees down in the dirt. Though, give me a few more years and I might be ordering such!

In theory it's a good idea, but I would still think you would have to be very careful sitting down on uneven ground. Or, worse, the legs of the stool might poke into the ground.
